On Thursday, September 19, a presentation of the Manual for the Procurement of Electricity and Optimisation of Electricity Costs in Public Buildings and Institutions in Serbia was delivered on the premises of the Energy Efficiency Centre of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The manual has been prepared within the project "Removing Barriers to Promote and Support Energy Management Systems in Municipalities throughout Serbia". This presentation is only one in a series of technical workshops that UNDP and the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities, with the support of the Ministry of Mining and Energy regularly organise for members of the Network. The aim of the workshop was to familiarise energy managers and municipal officials with the process of public procurement of electricity and the possibilities to reduce electricity costs in public buildings in their competence. Participants received information on the most important energy and cost efficiency measures in the electricity system with guidelines for their application. The training was delivered by Slobodan Ruzic, PhD, the author of the manual and our well-known expert in this field of expertise.
