Information Centre for Assistance in Introduction of Energy Management System Opened

Information centre for designated organisations of the energy management system from local self-government units, public services, state administration bodies, and institutions of autonomous province and industry which have recently started introducing energy management system (EMS), has been opened in the Ministry of Mining and Industry.

Energy managers will have the oportunity to receive relevant information on the topics listed below

from specially trained operators from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays:

  • The use of energy management information system (EMIS),

  • The use of the database of the Ministry of Mining and Energy for energy management system,

  •  Energy efficiency in local self-governments, utility services, public services, state administration bodies and institutions of autonomous province.

This information will facilitate the process of establishing an EMS.

The opening of the information centre has been supported by the Project "Removing Barriers to Promote and Support Energy Management Systems in Municipalities throughout Serbia". The aim of the project is to support municipalities throughout Serbia in the introduction of an energy management system. The project is implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF), in cooperation with the Ministry of Mining and Energy.
