On Thursday, 9 November and Friday, 10 November 2017 a two-day training course was delivered in a secondary vocational school “II Tehnicka skola” in Kragujevac to all users of the Energy Management Information System (EMIS) in public buildings in competence of the city of Kragujevac.
During the training, seventy users from primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, city administration units, public and utility companies, local communities, cultural institutions in the territory of the city of Kragujevac received training in collecting and entering data into the Energy Management Information System (EMIS).
Trainees are persons who are, on behalf of indirect budget users of the city of Kragujevac, in charge of collecting and entering data on consumption and costs of energy, energy sources and water in the facilities which they have been assigned for. The data is entered from the supplier's invoices for specific facilities. The data entered will be used by persons in charge of the facility for monitoring and analyzing the consumption and costs of energy, energy sources and water, as well as for identifying possible energy efficiency projects in their facilities.
Data on all public buildings in Kragujevac collected in this way will also be used to produce an annual energy consumption report that the city of Kragujevac is obliged to submit to the Ministry of Mining and Energy, pursuant to the Law on Efficient Use of Energy. Additionally, the data will be used to monitor the realization of the energy savings target by designated organisations of the energy management system, which is set on an annual basis by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
Training was delivered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Experts in the scope of the Project “Removing Barriers to Promote and Support Energy Management Systems in Municipalities throughout Serbia”.
